Things to think about when planning your trip to Futaleufú.

 

1. Think about how you will get here. How to get here - there are several options and ways and all very dependent upon weather conditions. Most options require different modes of transport. Ferry / Car or Plane / Bus or Car via Argentina or from the south of Chile. Buses quite often can not be pre-booked & do not run daily so you also need to be prepared for that.

2. Think about the weather ! Due to varying weather conditions in Patagonia it is very common for ferries and flights to be delayed and not just by hours but even days. So consider a little flexibility in your planning. Don’t be on such a strict time schedule. There is a saying in Patagonia ‘Time rushed in Patagonia is time lost’ . So slow down and enjoy the journey.

3. Stay in Futaleufú a few days because it’s just gorgeous! The best white water rafting in the world here with us but also some incredible places to explore. Raft, hike, bike, fish, horse back riding and not limited to these! We always recommended at least one back up day for your rafting for unforeseen circumstances to avoid disappointment.

4. Think about rafting on the Futaleufú river with us for the most incredible trip of your life! Fun, spectacular and non stop adrenaline a trip you will not forget in a hurry and will leaving you wanting more.

5. Think about booking in advance once you know the date you want as 1st choice. Trip time and date can be changed with minimum of 48 hours notice without penalty.

Job Offers for Season 2025/ 2026

​1. Photographer / Shuttle Driver & 2. Office Staff 

​

1. We are looking for 2 Photographers / Shuttle Drivers to join our team for this upcoming season. 

 

Photographers must be able to drive a manual vehicle as the photographer must drive from Put in to take out whilst taking photos along the way. I can teach people to take photos but need a competent and experienced driver to drive the shuttle on narrow gravel roads.

We are looking for one photographer for the whole season November to Mid April and one for the peak season January to Mid March. 

 

The job is not difficult but in Peak season you will be busy and some days doing two trips a day. 

Need to be physically fit, love the outdoors , interested in taking photos, great customer service required and MUST BE A EXCELLENT DRIVER!! English and Spanish speaking preferred. 

 

Duties include: 

- Hosting Customers from town and return

- Taking Photos 

- Driving from Put in to Take Out 

- Making sure the snack has been packed into van for each trip 

- Helping Bus driver set up snack and customer gear at take out if not completed when you arrive 

- Promptly sending photos to customers at the end of each trip.

2. Office Staff

​

We also require a couple of people to work in our office that can sell our trips, greet customers and help get the trips away. 

​

Excellent Customer service is required as is the ability to speak in English and Spanish! Majority of our customers are English speakers but given we are in Chile Spanish is a MUST also. 

​

Experience in Adventure tourism and reservations is preferable. A love for adventure is also a bonus as you would need to experience our trips in order to be able to sell them. 

 

Turns in the office are 8am to 3pm or 3pm to 10pm. 

 

Happy to offer a combination of the photos and office if person is suitable and interested in both to add variety to their season.

It is not a holiday when season is on everyone works hard and gets tired but still time to enjoy this incredible place especially in the shoulder seasons. Shifts are only 7 Hours.
